Almost every night I experience a dream that, when shared with others, is described as strange, or worse. Now I will share them with the world, or whoever stumbles upon this blog. Feel free to analyze the dreams, I usually find the analysis more interesting than the actual dream.

Doctors and Pianos

Last night I dreamed I was a doctor, just starting out, and a friend had me working his clinic. The clinic was in my hometown so I knew several people that worked or were patients there. One day a woman I knew was in the waiting room and I called her into the exam room. She didn't know me at first but when I told her who I was she was thrilled. I explained to her that if she was at all uncomfortable with me examining her it wouldn't be a problem to have a different doctor see her. She said it was fine and I started asking questions. She then asked me a bizarre question and as I was trying to figure out a way to answer her she jumped up from the exam table and grabbed the jar of cotton balls, throwing them at me one at a time. I got up and opened the door and she made her way through the waiting room yelling about something nobody understood. Security came and the doctor in charge came and helped subdue her. I was baffled until another doctor explained she has a long history of mental illness and you never know what she'll do next. I was so sad for her. On a break I went with another doctor for lunch and a walk around the clinic building. The building was quite large and housed an auditorium, a play area, as well as a music store in addition to the clinic. In the auditorium was a child beauty pageant going on so we went to the music store. The store was really big and sold just about everything pertaining to music. I was admiring a large harp on display when someone approached me with a question. I happened to know the answer and she was very grateful for the information. The owner heard this exchange and offered me a job working in the store. I explained that I was a doctor working the clinic and he promised to work around my schedule. I thought about it and realized between both jobs I could save a lot of money so I accepted. A few days later, after my shift in the clinic, I showed up for work at the store. I had to help deliver a piano to a customer's home. Of course the house was huge and very nice but nobody answered the door. I double checked with the delivery person that this was the arranged time and the customer knew we would be there. Everything checked out so I continued knocking and ringing the doorbell. Nobody came to the door. I noticed the door to the garage was open slightly so I checked it, it swung right open. I looked at the delivery person with a 'should I or shouldn't I' look and feared something had happened to the customer. In the garage was a pool table, a ping pong table, and weight lifting equipment. The garage itself was huge and there was no obvious doorway to the actual house. Once I found a door and opened it, it led downstairs. I could hear voices off in the distance. When I got down to the basement there was a playroom, a bathroom, a snack machine and a pop machine. There were children playing but I didn't see any adults. I asked one of the older kids who was watching them and he pointed to the bathroom (the bathroom door was shut). I waited until someone emerged and I explained I had a piano for them. Then I woke up.
